Training
The Avion foundation is based on training, motivation, and performance, with client satisfaction as our goal. Avion recruits – many with military or police backgrounds – are selected carefully. All applicants are thoroughly screened and each must pass an extensive background check. A written examination must be passed as a prerequisite to employment with our company.
Recruits must complete 40 hours of classroom and practical instruction before becoming permanently licensed as a security guard. Avion Security Services holds the distinction of being an approved “Security Guard Course Provider” by the Saskatchewan Justice Department. Additional training is received on-site. Because of the specialized services Avion offers, we insist on and provide rigorous on-going training and supervision for all our officers. On-site staff are backed round-the-clock by senior supervisors and mobile field units.
Opportunity for advancement through our ranks based on job performance provides incentives which help reinforce the Avion commitment to superior service. Continuous training and frequent upgrading at all ranks, insures our personnel are kept aware of the latest security procedures, as well as federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations.
All Avion personnel are provincially licensed, bonded, and insured. We maintain qualified on-staff instructors in first aid, CPR, fire prevention, and emergency procedures. All security staff are encouraged to qualify at the Standard Basic Level in first aid within 30 days of joining our company. We also encourage additional training and upgrading and reimburse costs for any work related instruction.
