Security Services

Avion currently provides security services at the James Armstrong Richardson Airport,  City of Winnipeg Millennium Library,  and Bison Transport 

We have the ability to offer a wide variety of positions for security staff ranging from access control verification to operation of mobile explosive vapor detection equipment.

This diverse range allows security staff at Avion the chance to learn an assortment of new skills and provide an opportunity for advancement. We also provide a range of training for staff to be sure they are capable of delivering the expectations placed upon them. This opportunity to develop career enhancing skills has allowed Avion to attract the “best in class” and grow to employ in excess of 300 staff members. Avion also ensures that staff are thoroughly checked and bonded for site work.

Our current capabilities in security operations include but are not limited to:

1. Security audits and reviewing with recognized industry regulators
2. Security personnel for general and specialized projects
3. Physical and electronic security consulting
4. Mobile patrol and CCTV surveillance
5. Project security escorting
6. Camera installation and monitoring

Avion also provides advanced training to those staff who require additional qualification for site specific work.
Some of these include Customer Service, Disability Awareness, First Aid/CPR/AED, WHIMIS, Handcuff Training, Team Building, Supervisory Skills, Non Violent Crisis Intervention and Computer Courses.

Home Alarm Monitoring

Providing security services to the public through home alarm monitoring is an important part of our security operations. We have 24/7 mobile security dedicated to ensuring we respond to alarms promptly. As well we can ensure that your vacation is more relaxing knowing that we are providing home checks while you are away. We can do a full exterior patrol and if requested can also take in your mail and leave it with our reports.
